German producer M4E has had its globetrotting animation series Mia & Me renewed for a second season.
Twenty-six new episodes of the girl-skewed adventure toon will again be produced by the M4E/Gerhard Hahn joint-venture Lucky Punch alongside Italian toon house Rainbow and Canadian prodco March Entertainment.
The new season is scheduled for delivery in 2014/2015. The first 26x24′ season made its debut on German pubcaster KiKa in August, scoring audience shares of up to 33% in its target demo of 3-13s, according to ratings body AGF/GfK TV Scope.
Mia & Me also airs on French pay-TV broadcaster Canal+, TVI (Portugal), MTV3 (Finland), MT (Indonesia), RTM (Malaysia), Thai PBS (Thailand) and Televisa (Mexico), among other channels.
